Can i record to USB flash drive on a new Samsung LCD LED 3d tv or?

Does it only work if i record through USB to an actual hard drive?

  1. I Googled it... Unfortunately, you can't use a standard USB. They don't d=conform to a basic formatting requirement of the TV. You can apparently buy a 2.5 portable drive that doesn't require it's own power supply (powered by USB only). The article mentioned also that it has to be formatted specifically for the hardware in the TV and as such can't be used for anything else unless you reformat it. I would have copied and pasted but I haven't figured out how to do that on a mac yet... I miss the right click! Lol. Edit: Oh! I looked it up on Answers. It's Command c for copy and Command v for paste lol.
  2. The time when ice cream is Not the answer. Somehow I knew this time would come. And now that it has happened, I feel very moved..and quite humbled.
  3. You cannot record anything from any TV unless it has a record/output function! Some 'scart' sockets are configured for composite, RGB and audio out, which could be connected to a recording device (VTR), rarely though. A TV is designed as a display device, not an output device. You cannot record 'through USB' (presume you mean the USB port) it is an input only! (As fitted to a TV) A 'flash drive' is NOT a recording device, only a storage device. Your not really supplying enough details, such as model numbers and what exactly are you trying to record and why for me to be able to give you an informative answer, but I hope the above give you enough information. If you are trying to record gameplay from a Playstation/X-Box for example you need to capture the output from them (output device) NOT the TV (display device) P.s. @Ange it's ctrl c & v on yr PC too, lol.
