Is it a good idea to get a 3D television now or later?

Ok so I really want to get a television but I am not sure if I should get a 3D TV for things like PS3 games and movies. If I want one I would probably have to ask for it for Christmas because of the price. Should I stick with something else or should I get a 3D TV now? I have seen good deals on them. Also I have heard a lot of rumors about them. Are they truly 3D or is the real deal coming later in the future?

I'd wait a few years for the price to go down, and to see whether or not the technology becomes popular enough that 3d dvds will continue to be manufactured.
It's really up to you. 3D technology is really becoming the norm so I'm sure as with the thin technology of TVs it will only change and get better. Remember only a few years ago it was amazing that you could buy a TV that was less then an inch thick now you can buy an LED TV that's not even a quarter of an inch thick. So it will only get better, buy it for Christmas and come March there will be a better version out. So you just have to ask yourself how much longer are you willing to wait for the next best thing?
