3D - 2

Is anyone else annoyed by a lot of movies coming in 3D?

I'm super annoyed cuz all movies with 3d animation, some horror films, and a few popular movies like Harry Potter are being 3d. It's really annoying cuz the glasses are annoying and my eyes hurt when I take them off and it's kinda blurry. I think this 3d stuff is pointless. I understand why Piranha 3D or Saw would be in 3D but the rest is annoying the sh!t out of me and it's been like that since 2008.

  1. Some movies are pretty cool in 3-D, But personally im not a big fan because i get distracted by the 3-D and i don't pay attention to what's actually happening in the movie
  2. I work at a movie theatre and I hate it just as much. It was cool a long time ago but now its ridiculous. And the 3D t.v.?! So stupid
  3. I am WAY annoyed for all the reasons you list PLUS, I have no depth perception so I can't SEE 3D. It really stinks for people like me. Also, movies are expensive enough at the theatre but they charge even more for 3D movies!
  4. yes. I'm prone to sensory overload though... so anything that is too visually intense, loud, etc tends to make me feel anxious.... and I feel like because movies are coming out in 3D, the story lines have fallen off. Consider Avatar. It was an okay movie, considering the story line, but people go nuts over it because it was "cool to look at"
  5. I'm annoyed about the price! Other than that, 3D has gotten A LOT better, the glasses are so much better than they were in the 80's and even a couple of years ago (I bought Coraline and it came with the cheese-tasic flimsy glasses) Some movie's make sense to have in 3D and make it more fun, but, like everything, it's all a matter of opinion... Oh, and, the new Harry Potter is not in 3D, not even the Imax version
  6. I know what you mean!!!! Thank go i thought i was the only one! I actually just took my niece to the movies that was in 3d, and because of its 3d i had to pay an adult price plus the price for glasses! shes two! its ridiculous! To be honest i cant even see the difference anyways,
  7. Honestly, the only time 3D is really an annoyance for me is when it's post-conversion 3D. Movies like Clash of the Titans, Alice In Wonderland, and a few others have gotten choppy transfers into 3D - editing the film to include cheesy CGI gimmicks that point to the screen. Deathly Hallows Part 1 is extremely guilty of this - even if it wasn't moved to 3D, you can still see all the little parts that were supposed to play to the camera, but didn't. REAL 3D - when it's shot with a 3D camera - looks amazing. See Avatar, TRON Legacy, Pirahna, and Saw.
  8. I am not sure why people are annoyed by the recent slew of 3D releases. The 2D alternative is still available. It is not like theaters are forcing people into 3D. It is available for those who wish to see it. Also, look at ticket sales. Audiences are loving 3D. How can you blame Hollywood for giving the people want that evidently want? Although, something does need to be done about ticket prices. It costs $16 for IMAX 3D. That equates to $64 for a family of four. Ridiculous.
  9. but 3D movies are really cool, you know. 3D games are amazing!
