Want to buy a GOOD AV reciever for new Samsung 3D TV. Considering HK AVR-2600 for $ 492.21. Any thoughts?
Does anyone know if there is anything better or have suggestions for/ with Yamaha, Denon or Onkyo? Thank You!

- It's easier now than you think to get a job. Many employers go online now to list good paying jobs so you don't have to waste gas and money driving around. You can see all the available jobs in your city and what they pay. Go to FindMeJobNow.com
- Hi Cheryl, Check the links below. I prefer Denon for audio quality. I like that their tuning knobs aren't using belts which can loosen over time. All the new Denons are 3D ready and will accept HDMI1.4a connections. The link below shows a Denon for around the same price. You will want support for DTS-HD master Audio and TruHD which they all do these days. If you're playing back DVD the more expensive Denons have better up-converting video processing chips. As you spend more and more in to the $1000's... you get discreet amplifiers for each channel and more power and more features generally. Hope this helps, Jeff http://www.amazon.com/Denon-AVR-791-Multi-Source-Multi-Zone-supporting/dp/B003H04Q9G http://reviews.cnet.com/best-av-receivers/ http://www.testfreaks.com/a-v-receivers/ The newer denons are very good. Most old products tend to have their problems... even Onkyo and the rest. Go to an AV store and check the devices out, see what you like. I have an older 3800 Denon which is excellent.
- Go online to Home theater magazine and read the reviews on receivers. You will notice that Pioneer and Onkyo are two entry level receivers that are recommended. I have used the Onkyo and the Pioneer Elite receiver for many years and have had no problems with them, If you read yahoo questions, you will notice many problems with the Denon low end receivers but they do make a very good high end product. Just 3 months ago I up graded by Onkyo 805 receiver to the 5007 (2009 model and the 5008 is the 2010). Gave the 805 to my son to replace his old Pioneer Elite 54 which is a 5.1 receiver and the Onkyo a 7.1. Keep in mind, you get what you pay for. Hope this will help you out.

- hi cheryl....i've been using pioneer elite series for the last two years and other brands as well, i've been to hi-fi stores and listened to many different brands yamaha, onkyo, denon, sony, marantz the list goes on and on etc,etc....and these pioneer amplifiers/recievers have got the upper hand on the competition...you don't have to take my word on that...but thats what i've chosen for you to consider and merry xmas.
