LOTS OF PROBLEMS!!! PLEASE HELP!!!?
couple of days ago out of no where the following happened: icons of programs (except Microsoft programs) disappeared from the task bar. the documents, videos, music, and pictures links on the start menu no longer worked and after a bit of searching i found that they had moved to a new directory. (my documents, my videos ect.) i use google chrome and when watching a video on BBC iplayer it works for about 10 sec's, freezes, comes up with an error saying "A script in this movie is causing Adobe Flash Player 10 to run slowly. If it continues to run, your computer may become unresponsive. Do you want to abort the script?", then contines playing but the bar beneath the video with the pause/play ect stops working and goes weird. same in internet explorer when triyng to play games on miniclip.com for example disc pool. the intro keeps running with the logo and snow flakes but the game never appears. when using wix, a flash based online web creator, it says it cant open and tells me that flash player doesnt alow it to store data on my machine and guides me to adobe flash player setting manager where i give it more memory however some boxes which i have to tick wont tick and my settings arent remembered either. i cant open some files such as pdf's and openoffice documents as they come up with the error "internal error occured". some progams like fsx, openoffice, skype, blender 3d, and more dont work anymore. again with the same type of error. although skype says it cant find the files it needs to work and blender 3d opens but all the buttons, text, and functions dont appear/work. and when installing some programs an error comes up about the APPDATA folder. I believe the folder has moved or somethings gone wrong with it like the documents, video, picture, and music folders which have also moved. i have done many registry cleanups/repairs using various programs and reinstalled flash, chrome, shockwave ect but the problem keeps on going!!! please help. any solutions or ideas to any of the problems.

- Okay, to me personally it sounds like a registry problem or possibly a virus. One thing I can tell you for sure is NEVER use registry cleaners! The Windows registry is one of the sources your computer uses to do things deleting or modifying a registry can ruin your computer. The only thing I would recommend doing to improve the registry is defragmenting it.
- Sounds like you've got a worm. Worms are malicious programs that eat away at data, giving many errors (such as like why skype can find the files it needs to function) and why certain files wont open. Unfortunately, it seems like this worm has eat away at quite a bit. At this point in time, I would just save any pictures, music, and documents to an external hard drive or USB flash drive and re-image your computer using the system restore disc that came with your computer. Immediately download and install antivirus once its done (i suggest AVG Free and Threatfire) and then scan all your pictures, music, and documents. Some of them may be corrupt and unreadible. this is unfortunate, but unavoidable.
