wallpaper creation?

can anyone tell me what software is ideal for creating abstract/3d pc desktop wallpaper?

1. Use 'paint'. Create whatever you want.
2. the software called ADOBE photo/paint, lets you create effects using either real photos or your own designs. its a good program for playing around with shapes and colours and special effects.
