Samsung 3D TV - does it break down? Extended warrenty worth the cost?

Have you owned a Samsung 3D, or any other brand new Samsung big screen LED/LCD that has needed expensive repair in the first four years after buying it? Do you know anyone who has? I don't think the extended warrenty is worth the extra $400+, but I'd like to hear from other people who would have actually used that extended warrenty, or wish they would have bought one.

  1. Electronics's items can be " trouble " any moment, regardless of brand. However , International brand ( name brand ) Samsung / LG / Sony / Sharp / Panasonic / Toshiba TV " manufactures failure rate " is set at < 3 % . usually 94 % of the products able to use up to 5 years " trouble free ". and 90 % use up to 8 + years with out any repair. Samsung TV as world NO 1 total quantity sold worldwide, is proven by consumers worldwide. of course , there must be some once unhappy or disappointed as there Samsung given trouble less than 6 months / 1 years. Samsung select only grade AA or A type display panel for their LCD/LED / Plasma TV , usually less than 0.5 % Samsung TV need to replace display panel in 5 years. except old type Plasma TV. 3D TV still new , but technically based on 2D TV designs / display panel. no reason because of 3D Samsung become unreliable. Mose of the name brand , usually trouble free in first 12 month , is mean no problems in next 3 to 4 year. very low return rate. unless , those buyer brand / house brand " off brand " TV always having trouble after 12 month and 30 % need to replace display panel less than 4 year. since is very low risk for Samsung LCD/LED TV , i should said save the $400 ! because actually you paid for it all included in TV prices. as Samsung use quality parts / grade AA / A display panel , designs back up by 40 years experience R & D team. that house brand / buyer brand / China TV maker do not do that . but much lower in prices.
