Will regular 3d glasses work with a 3D TV?
I have a Samsung 3D TV with 2 pair of Samsung 3D glasses. If I bought regular (cheapo) 3D glasses would they work at all?

- It would depened on what direction the glasses are polarized in.
- There's no such thing as "regular (cheapo) 3D glasses". Passive polarized glasses stolen from a movie theater won't work on a TV which requires active shutter glasses.
- Afterstain 3D glasses are in fact an antique which were invented since years ago. And some 3D glasses are common seen in the market red/blue 3D glasses, red/cyan 3D glasses, red/green 3D glasses, and magenta/green 3D glasses, yellow/blue 3D glasses. Therefore how to distinguish them? The colors of 3D glasses should be matching with the technique of movies, then we can enjoy the wonderful 3D movies. What kind of 3D glasses you will make depends on the color separation of 3D movies. At present, the popular color separation 3D movies are main three kinds: red/blue (red/cyan) movies, e.g. Polar Express; yellow/blue movies, e.g. Sea Ghost; green/magenta movies, e.g. Journey to the Centre of Earth. As cyan contains blue and green pigment, you can watch red/blue and red/green 3D movies by the red/cyan 3D glasses. Yellow/blue 3D glasses are the better one because the red pigment is saved very well. But the blue glasses are very dark, so illumination should be very good that we can enjoy a nice movie, or the image will be very clear. The color for green/magenta 3D glasses is saved better than red/cyan 3D glasses, and the transmittance of light for the green/magenta 3D glasses are as the same as that of red/cyan 3D glasses. Therefore it is the best one among 3D glasses.
