How can I capture a live video in stereo?

I have been looking on youtube about people playing along with music with their guitars, and I hear it in stereo and it sounds as if they are part of the band. I was wondering how did they do that? everytime I capture a video of myself playing guitar on webcam, the sound is really bad.how can I make it as if Im playing along with the music as if Im part of it? what software will I need so I can plug my guitar and a camera on a PC? thanks

1. They use high quality microphones. Look into studio mics, you can usually pick some good quality ones up at like £40-80, if you're looking for full on pro you'll be spending a lot more; but the cheaper ones should suffice for what you're looking at!
