Is there a place to download 3D models of video game characters?

just wondering. i want to mess with some pre-made 3D models of some of my favorite characters. I wanted to know if there is a site that may host them or something like it.

Turbosquid might have some free ones. http://www.turbosquid.com/ Occasionally there will be a few characters released here http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_read&i=3 The FPSC has a crap load off free models, some by myself. All of the ones in the FPSC section are in .x format, FragMotion imports .x, and has a 60 day trial.
