I need impressive photorealistic renderings, and the furniture will be based off standard catalogues/blocks. It is preferable that the blocks can be parametric, and have not been created yet. The process I need it for is the following: -import general wall/electrical/plumbing layout as 2d dwg/dxf -convert layout to 3D -place furniture, built-ins, dimensions, hatching, notations, dwg block, revision info -export as engineering drawings -export as 3D renderings I'm experienced with AutoCad and am looking for a solution that is easier than doing extrusions/drawing faces and applying materials (my last version is 2008) which is very time consuming and frustrating. Yet other software that is available is expensive and does not provide the professionalism that I'm looking for. I'm open to using open-source software, but I need advice on which software to use.
