3D - 2

How does d(3d-5)+5 turn into (d-1)(3d-2)?

Please explain. I can't seem to find the "missing link" per se. I figured out how to get 3d^2-5d+2 to d(3d-5)+5, but not how to turn it into (d-1)(3d-2).

1. 3d^2 - 5d + 2 = 3d^2 - 2d - 3d + 2 [NOTE: -2 x -1 = 2 ] = (d - 1)(3d - 2) ... d(3d - 5) + 5 is incorrect.
