How to change 55" Samsung 3D tv resolution?

Hey guys... I have a Samsung 3D tv 55 inches and I need help on changing it's resolution, mainly because of these blocks that keep showing up on the left and right side of shows that aren't in HD... I know you guys are probably thinking "You don't change the resolution. It automatically adjusts" or whatever, but my tv is being RETARDED! Every HD channel works great, but when I watch regular channels there are 2 BLACK BARS on each side and sometime the top and bottom. My tv is currently set on 1920x1080 HDmi and I think I some how changed it from 720x480 or something like that. Please HELP!!! Thanks!

  1. The black bars on the side of the tv means that you are watch it in the 4X3 mode, you have to switch the tv to the 16X9 or widescreen to eliminate the bars. For the top and bottom you can try the full screen. Keep in mind that not all movies are made the same, they aspect ration of each movie are different. Most of the time you will not be able to eliminate the black bars. All tvs made will automatically set the proper resolution on what it is being feed. Hope this will help you out.
