Why Samsung 3D TV does not produce sharp images in 3D mode?

I have Samsung 3D TV.It shows very sharp images in 2D mode but not in 3D mode why is it?

1. I think this occurs due to the shutter glass.
2. Actually Samsung uses VA panels in 3D TVs which are unable to produce high brightness in 3D mode as compare to IPS panel.
