3D - 2

Will 3D TV glasses be connected by a cord to the power outlet?

I heard that 3D glasses use batteries. Does this mean the 3D glasses will be connected by a cord to the power outlet? Do I have to replace them after about 30 movies? Someone help me out.

  1. Wireless. Just like a remote.
  2. They don't use power they're just glasses.
  3. Unfortunately, yes. The shutter 3D glasses require batteries. Although you don’t have to keep them attached to an adapter during viewing, the duration for charged glasses can last only 2-3 hours. And yes, they do break easy. I work at a retailer and we've had about two customers break a pair in the last 3 months, from just trying them on. If you look up cinema 3D TV, they will use passive technology where the glasses are polarized, meaning you'll have battery free 3D glasses. It's basically just like the cinemas. The glasses are way cheap and pretty durable as well.
