How soon can a 3D/4D ultrasound determine the gender of my baby?

I know they recommend 20 weeks for a regular ultrasound but my doctor is doing free 3D/4D at her new office. I was just wondering if you can tell sooner on 3D/4D since it's in more detail. I'll be 16 weeks and 3 days by my next appointment. I'm really anxious to know already. Think it's hopeful? Or just wishful thinking?

1. I found out with my daughter at 16w 1d with a regular ultrasound so i would assume you will be able to find out with the 3d/4d one at 16 weeks too
2. 16 weeks is about the time! I found out at 17 weeks and 3 days,and i could of scheduled earlier but they where booked. Im having a boy!
