Anime Movies that look real, not cartoony?

I don't mean to offend any anime lovers by saying "cartoony" or even by saying "anime lovers", I don't know much at all about anime. I watched a movie called VEXILLE and it looks pretty good. Not hand drawn....i guess I'm looking for good 3d anime movies. I also saw this movie called GOEMON and it was in the anime section, but it didn't look like a cartoon at all. Looked real life. I'm also looking for a movie like GOEMON. Please help me find some movies. I really want to watch something cool.

1. maybe you should watch Final Fantasy the spirits within. and Final fantasy: the Advent children. i think they don't look too much "cartoony" and they r not in 3d. but they r good. the graphics r awesome. and, you can also watch "Appleseed"... all of them has real awesome graphics.

3. if you like horror movies, try "Resident Evil: Degeneration" it's full cg, not cartoony
4. Paprika The Girl Who Leapt Through Time Spirited Away Howl's Moving Castle Summer Wars All of these are anime movies, but they are draw incredibly well.
5. There kind of a minority, but try watching the blackjack ova and blacklagoon (some have slightly cartoony characters, but some look realistic also), ghost in the shell (since you've watched sci-fi stuff), blue gender, cowboy bebop movie. But your best bet is to watch anime from the late 80's to early 90's because they had more realistic anime. But 3d looks even more realistic sometimes, and the only one I know is appleseed, vexille, and final fantasy advent children. Try Tekken: Blood Vengeance (not sure if that's out yet though). And try wathcing animatrix if you never watched it before.
