What is the best stereo system to install in a bar?
I primarily do camera systems but I have a client who wants to add just one more speaker. I'm not sure of the brand, but does anyone know what a moderately good, 4 speaker system costs? It needs to be fairly loud, its not a very big place, but gets packed on weekends and they also have a DJ

- Depends on the wattage/size of the system. How loud does it need to be? Try this link for starters: http://www.djdepot.com/speakers-c-51.html If we had some approx. dimensions (room size) that would be helpful, too. Are you looking for 4 speakers, or the amp and mixer also? If they are starting from scratch it makes more sense to get the entire system as a package deal - not "a la carte".
- You can not go wrong by buying a Pioneer stereo receiver and adding 4 speakers to it. You do not need very large speakers, book shelf speakers should be good. Try to find a speaker that has a high SPL rating like about 90, this will require less power from an amplifier. Look for a JBL, Infinity, Klipsch and Polk Audio speakers to name a few. Hope this will help you out.
- It sounds like they could use a DJ/PA type system. All you need is a simple DJ mixer, amp and four speakers: http://www.amazon.com/Gemini-PS-626USB-Professional-Channel-Stereo/dp/B001AIONCC/ref=sr_1_19?s=musical-instruments&ie=UTF8&qid=1311777356&sr=1-19 http://www.amazon.com/Behringer-EP4000-Professional-Accelerated-Technology/dp/B001U5JFNM/ref=sr_1_1?s=musical-instruments&ie=UTF8&qid=1311777409&sr=1-1 http://www.amazon.com/Behringer-EurOlive-B212XL-800-Watt-Compression/dp/B001XWD3LC/ref=sr_1_1?s=musical-instruments&ie=UTF8&qid=1311777651&sr=1-1 This type of system could be used by a DJ and will also work for background music and announcements.
