Can you use a normal 5.1 surround sound system with a 3d bluray player and tv?

Or are surround sounds meant for regular 2d play too slow?

3. Yes you can. However there are few bluray disk that requires DTS-HD MA (master-audio) and Dolby-TruHD decoding that is usually available on 7.1 receivers.
