Has anyone had a 3d ultra sound? was it expensive? was it worth the money? Do insurances cover it? Thanks...?

1. Insurance does not normally cover this. If you're interested on seeing your babies face, then it would be worth the money to you.

3. I had one it 27 weeks. It cost £200 - around $325 It was definitely worth it! It was an incredible experience, seeing my daughter. It came with 30minutes of live 4D dvd. A load of black and white 3D images printed. Two 3D colour images printed and about 50+ 3D images on a disk :) Insurance does not cover it.
4. My doctor gave me a few 3d ultrasound pics for free :) normally I think that they are about $300 - $400 but I'm not sure. Insurances usually don't cover this. But if you really want to see your baby's face it is totally worth it.
5. I'm having my first one today actually at an elective US place. My doctor does them when I get an ultrasound there too though. It's 199.00. Which is in our budget so..and no, the insurance companies dont cover because it's elective and not medically necessary. My first US with my doctor isn't until 23 weeks, and I'm 19 and want to know the sex so we can start getting some things. I think it's worth it!
6. insurance only covers the ultrasounds scheduled by your doctor or hospital! average 150-300
7. I had one with my twins only because I was considered a high risk and was seeing a specialist once a week. Most insurances wont cover it unless its a medical reason. Personally I would not pay for it, I mean it was very neat dont get me wrong but to spend 100+ on it, just seemed like I could of spent that money on something for the baby. Good Luck!
8. Insurance does not cover it, but my doctor did offer it for $150. You got lots of pictures and a CD of the whole thing, and you could bring pretty much whoever you wanted. It was neat, but I didn't pay for it again with my second child. There is also a free-standing place in my area that will do it for about the same price.
