Why doesn't Samsung include 3D glasses with its 3D TV that's so expensive?

I feel totally ripped off for my Samsung 3D TV. I got a brand new Samsung UN46D6900W at Bestbuy for $1500 and apparently it doesn't include the 3D glasses. I tried to use the 3D glasses from movie theater and it doesn't work. It turns out I have to buy the 3D glasses separately and they cost another hundred something bucks. Did I get ripped off? Why doesn't Samsung include 3D glasses with a TV that's this expensive?

1. $1500 is about par for many TVs. As many people don't want 3D, don't have a 3D capable player, Samsung saves money by not including them. Lesson learned, I guess, if an expensive one, sorry. You have to protect yourself by asking questions.
