Why can't I just use passive 3D glasses on my Samsung 3D TV?

The battery ones are too heavy and give me headaches.

2. Simple. Passive 3D glasses (like the ones we use in movie theaters) work only on passive models, like Cinema 3D. Your Samsung 3D TV is an active so you need to use the active 3D glasses. Sorry about the heavyweight and headaches but it's nearly unavoidable if you have an active 3D TV. If you want to use those passive 3D glasses that badly, I suggest you take a big step and buy a passive 3D TV.
