How can tell the difference between active and passive 3d tv glasses?
I know that there are two types of 3D glasses, but which one belongs to passive tech. and which one belongs to active?

- Active 3D glasses need a power source, either from batteries or a cord to the TV.. I also feel these are harder on the eyes.. (They are also rather expensive.) Passive 3D glasses are similar to the theater type 3D glasses..
- Active 3D - larger, heavier, require a power source. They are also vastly more expensive. Passive 3D - lighter, simpler, and don't require a power source, they are essentially just a filter in the glass you look through. They are often quite inexpensive (real 3D pairs can be had for like $10).
- The battery 3D glasses belong to active 3D TVs and will only work on these. Likewise, the battery free 3D glasses are used on passive models and will only work on passive 3D TVs.
