Do i need to buy 3D blu-ray player to 42" 3D LED TV to watch movies on 3D blue ray discs ?

I recently bought LG 42" 3D LED TV. I am planning to buy Blu-ray player. Do i need to buy 3D blue ray player to watch 3d movies on blu-ray discs ? OR is it just that i need Blu-Ray player (no 3d) and play the 3D movie on 3D TV by turning on the 3D feature on it?

2. yea, converting 2d to 3d is easy and with LG the quality is also decent. Moreover its IPS panel makes the experience even better
3. You need a 3D blu-ray player to watch 3D blu-ray discs. And if you are planning to buy a blu-ray player anyway, you should definitely buy a 3D player. Most of the players that came out in 2011 have 3D capability. So if you choose any mid-level blu-ray player it will probably be able to playback 3D blu-ray discs.
