When is the best time to get a 4D ultrasound?

I'm almost 23 weeks. I want to get a 4D ultrasound really badly but my mom says to wait a while because the baby might still look kind of strange lol. But I don't want to wait too long because the baby will be squished up. Does anyone have experience in the best time to get a 4D?

1. 28 weeks is best from my understanding
2. Between 24 and 30 weeks is the best in my experience. My best one was at 27 weeks. Very clear in the face and in the body. The picture was amazing. But 24 weeks was good and so was 30 weeks. Too early and the baby will not have enough fat in the face and on other parts (such as the arms) and they look a bit abnormal. Too late and the baby has gotten to big for a good picture.
3. My mom had her's done twice. The first time was around your term and they baby looked like a baby doll. We went at 36 weeks and it looked like an real baby. But just know most 4D's don;t look like what your baby will when it is born. And it works best if they are head down.
