Would you say a 3D 4D is ultrasound is worthwhile?

Hi. I have just booked in for a 3D 4D ultrasound. I will be 27 weeks at the time. Those of you who have had a 3D u/s would you say it was a worthwhile experience, considering the money, etc? How many weeks were you when you had yours? Were you happy with the whole experience.

1. I can't tell you my experience 'cause I never had one yet, but I can tell you I do plan to save up my money and if I can get one, I will! I don't know if I'd do it every pregnancy, but the first is a must, I think!
2. Honestly, you should wait until you're about 32 weeks. It's a neat thing to see at any time during the pregnancy, but it's more "creepy" than anything else before 32 weeks. The longer you wait, the more detail and lifelike your baby will look. Considering money, I would wait until about 35 weeks...
3. Iv Had One TOTALY WORTH IT! im 24 weeks and had it 2 weeks ago! DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
4. Its amazing... I unfortunately lost the triplets at 15 weeks but since it was a surrogacy I had tons of U/S and they did one like that and you could so much more clearly. At 27 weeks he or she will look great you woud be able to see facial features Etc. Good luck with the U/S and rest of pregnancy.
5. Yes its worth it!! They say its best to go between 23-30 weeks. Its definitely worthwhile.
6. I don't know b/c I've never had one but i plan to. I heard the best times to get it done is between 27-34wks!!
7. i cant tell you my experience because i never had a baby but my sister has and she had a 3d ultrasaund its AMAZING! its totally worth it! congrats on youre baby! i think the best time is when the baby is formed because it has more meaning to it!

9. i've actually had about....4 of these ultrasounds, my doctor does them with the normal ultrasounds so i've been getting them since I found out i was pregnant and my insurance most likely cover it anyway. But i had one at 12 weeks and omg i couldnt believe how you could see it was a actually a baby!! head to toe it was amazing!! I had another one at 20 weeks but he wouldnt stay still so it was pointless to get a pic then another one at 30 and 32 weeks. we havent gotten a good shot of his face because I think he's a little shy his hand is always hiding his cute lil face. but i'll be getting another one at 34 weeks.
10. Totally worth every penny!!! I had mine done at 28 weeks, and it was the most amazing experience. I always wondered what she does in my belly and to sit there and watch her for about a half hour is undescribable. She actually opened and closed her mouth, she would move her hands, and at one point it looked like she waved, but I'm sure it was just her opening and closing her hands. But I highly recommend it.
