- wait until you are farther along that way you know for sure and there won't be any guessing. I would wait until the third trimester so that you can see more of baby's features better then it's worth waiting. I kept all my ultra sound pictures and I look at them and I can see how much my baby changed while still inside my tummy.
- I got a 3d/4d ultrasound at 23 weeks, 4 days, and we wanted her to reconfirm the gender. She did, but she did it in 2D! Make sure you call the 3d/4d place you are going to and ask them if they can check the gender in 3d/4d before going. If they can check the gender by 3d/4d I don't see why they wouldn't do it around the time frame 18 weeks - 26 weeks because it seems the bigger the baby gets it can be hard to get a peak down there. Good Luck!
- wow i cant believe you have to wait tell you are 28 weeks for an ultrasound wow i get to found out this Thursday what i am having and i am 20 weeks pregnant and with my first i found out when i was i think 17 weeks.
- I had my first 3D ultrasound at 26 weeks and was able to clearly see the babies gender. However, the technician didn't think he was fat enough to get really cute pictures and scheduled us to come back. Our second 3D ultrasound was done at 28 weeks and our third was done at 33 weeks. Since I paid to have these ultrasounds, I would recommend later in pregnancy because we got much better pictures the farther along he was. Good Luck.
- I had my first 3D/4D done at 24 weeks, it was pretty cool. But for the best results I suggest between 28-32 weeks, because by then your baby doesn't look like an alien. But if you're really that impatient then you can do it at 20 weeks.
