Were they able to tell the sex of your baby with a 3D ultrasound at 17 wks?

That is when my dr does the us and I just wondered of other experiences. 3D is the only one the hospital has now that they have upgraded, and my ins will pay for it.

1. i was 18 weeks when when they were able to tell. but i think 16 weeks is when they can start telling, so you should be o.k as long as baby cooperates :) good luck and take care

3. you can tell roughly from 16 weeks from an ultrasound although its not as accurate as if you left it a few weeks longer. on a 3d ultrasound its more likely for it to be accurate, i knew someone who found out at almost 18 weeks.
4. hey sweetie congrats oh your baby, but at about 16 wks around the second ultrasund u should be able to determine the sex of you baby, all depending on the baby and if the baby wants tp cooperate...lol mine didn't, but the 3d are really cool u will be able to see the features and even see who it may look like right now, gd luck sweetie
5. I only has a regular ultrasound and they were able to tell me the sex at 16 weeks. So as long as your baby is in a good position I think you should definitely be able to tell. I'm so envious of you! Good luck!
6. It is very hit or miss. I had a 3D ultrasound at 16 weeks and couldn't see a thing! I just had my 22 week check up and with a regular ultrasound we found out for sure it was a boy!
7. I had a regular sonogram at 16 weeks and they were able to tell pretty clearly that it was a boy. I wasn't able to tell from the picture they gave me but they were pretty confident. They also let me see the 3d pics which are amazing. http://1sttimeparents-whatdowedonow.blogspot.com
