  1. A coworker of mine just had the 3d ultrasound and I must say it was amazing how detailed the photos were. I was in awe. The epidural is a personal choice.
  2. yeah it is worth getting the third ultrasound
  3. They're the greatest thing. They cost alot but i think they helped me more with my pregnancy. It was nice to see what he looked like and how he already had his daddy's nose. If you have the money for it i'd say do it. My epi was amazing. There is a point when i couldnt handle my contractions anymore and i'd opted for it. It didnt hurt going in [or coming out for that matter]. And it helped. They turned it off so i could push but it really helped me. Its the one time in your life where its okay to take pain meds and it totally up to you. You dont have to decide now whether you want it or not. They'll ask you in the hospital and you can change your mind even after that.
  4. I got one when I was pregnant and it was the greatest thing I could of done. Its is worth the money. I even got a video of the whole thing. I still watch it and he is5months old. Its something that you can have forever since we both know we cant have our babys in our tummy forever. It showed me what he was going to look like. There are times when you cant see anything because of cords. etc. but I think its way worth it
  5. I would go for the 3-D if you are able it will really be that first pic that you can really show off and everyone will be able to see him/her. I didn't have an epidural b/c I wanted to know when to push and not be told when to. I did get IV pain-med thro. I was surprise at how strong I was and how high my pain-tolerance was. Personally to worse part was that the nurses wouldn't let me go to the restroom and the baby's heart-monitor was truly annoying. But then it was a personal choice and you need to look up the pros and cons for yourself.
  6. If you have good insurance and or can afford it. It is good to see how your baby is developing and make sure the baby still is in good health. Epideral is nice. You might want to let things happens naturaly and do it if you feel the need in labor or you may have to do it, if you get an emergancy C-section.
  7. I have seen the 3D ultrasound pics and they are pretty amazing. But at 30 weeks a regular ultrasound should be pretty detailed too. Also the epidural... definately would go for it. It makes it so much easier to relax and enjoy the process and none of my kids were affected by it. It doesnt impede the process either, it just makes it pain free. Good luck
  8. most of the time it is worth it but there is a chance that the baby will be hiding it's face or in a position where you will not get good pic.
