Any recommendations for the best motherboard for playing 3D games such as SIMS2 + expansion packs?

I am looking at any recommendations for motherboards for 3d games not too expensive.

1. Check out the Intel Extreme series, they are very fast.
2. i assume you mean onboard video found on motherboards?? those are not ideal for 3d games. i recommend you looking for graphic cards instead of motherboards. make sure your motherboard supports the graphic card:)
3. Depends on your budget. A proper graphics card from ATI or nVIDIA are better for games, but for things like the SIMS you could get decent performance from onboard graphics. It really depends on what your budget is. Boards from ASUS, Foxconn and MSI are usually good enough. Coupled with a low end dual core processor they can be good enough for games like the SIMS. Total for a basic motherboard and dual core processor is currently between £60 to £100.
4. Might want to try something like an MSI P7N Sli Platinu and an Nvidia 9600gt graphics card. The motherboard gives you the option down the track to put another gfx card (the exact same model) to boost the power even further.
