Whats a good computer to run 3D Studio Max and Autocad on?

Only requirement is it has to be around $1000, a little higher is fine but not too much.

1. i was answering sumone else's question and i came across THIS, and it reminded me of YOUR question. . try THIS link out http://www.gateway.com/systems/series/529598059.php the first gateway computer should do fine for you , its $999 [under $1000, lol] and has Vista quad-core processor [badass] 2 gigs of RAM [plenty for 3ds and cad] 500gig hard drive nvidia 8600 graphics card [good card for 3ds and cad] plus more.... only down-side is [Screen is Not Included. . ] but since you said "little higher is fine but not too much" the screen can be the "little higher" part of the question.... good luck. [after i posted this, i went to the link again. and they have a SPECIAL going on right now, free 19" screen with purchase] BAD@$$ DEAL ! ! !
