  1. I would still wait. I'm having one for gender determination and it cost around 200 or so here. I'm going at 18 weeks to be sure, and back at 30-33 weeks to see more development. I would say 18 would be optimal, but check with the tech, might be able to do at 16 weeks.
  2. i was once reading something on the Internet when i was pregnant someone had been for the 3d scan and was told she was having one sex (cant remember which) but then she went for her 20 wk scan and asked what she was having and they told her the opposite never found out what she had in the end. i would really wait if i was you cos the 3d scan can be pricey and could cause alot of confusion if your babies privates arn't developed enough to see properly.
  3. Still a bit early, it is very possible though. So you don't waste your money wait at least a week or two.
  4. Where we had ours done they can tell the sex from 18 weeks I think this is them same with mst place although the baby isnt fully developed and resembles an alien in my eyes .But we also went back to haave another scan done at 28 weeks and this one was exactly what our daughter was born looking like it was alot better with all the fat built up on the baby .
  5. My doctor told me to wait until after my 20 week scan to have the 3/4D. When I researched places I could have in done the 2 different place said the same thing. Have the first between 24-28 weeks you can see more movement. Have the 2nd later on at 34 weeks to see facial features better. They offer a discount if you have 2 done.
  6. My wife and I had two 3D/4D ultrasounds. The first was at 17 weeks, the second at 25 weeks. At the 17 week ultrasound, the technician was able to (correctly) identify the gender of the baby (3Ds offer *much* clearer images than the typical 2D ultrasound, so they might be able to show you the gender a few weeks before your regular OB would be able to tell you). However, if you want to be sure to get an identification, IMO, wait a couple more weeks... schedule it for when you are 16 weeks+.
  7. They recommend waiting until you're 20 weeks when you call for an appt. I had one and even I could see my son's penis. It all depends on how your baby is positioned. I really enjoyed this ultrasound, you see so much more than the little black and white screen.
