What is a cheap 3D stereo camera under $100?
Are there any cheap stereo 3d cameras out there that will take 2 pictures at the same time, lenses about 2 inches or so apart? Any digital or just 35mm?

- Try one from this list. I don't know any of the prices, but you might find a nice one used: http://www.stereoscopy.com/cameras/index.html I have this one. It's pretty cool. Used to belong to my dad. http://www.stereoscopy.com/cameras/kodak.html Ebay has some. http://photography.listings.ebay.com/By-Type_Stereo_W0QQfclZ1QQsacatZ4692QQsocmdZListingItemList
- IF you can find one, this might be a good start. http://www.vmresource.com/camera/cameras-general.htm In theory, you could strap two identical digital cameras together and contrive a way of exposing the images at the same time. ... buy how would you display them? I just googled 'stereo cameras' and got this link ... have you tried google? http://www.stereoscopy.com/3d-concepts/
- Your best bet is a good old fashioned used Realist 35mm stereo camera. I would recommend the Realist 3.5, which can be found on auction sites like eBay for under $100 (usually $65 to $100, depending upon condition and demand). I happen to own two of the Realist 3.5 cameras and a Realist 2.8. To use these cameras, you load them with slide film. Take your photos and then have the slides developed "unmounted". You then take scissors and cut the frames individually (leave the sprocket holes!) and put them into a "Realist" stereo mount. The slides can then be viewed by a "Realist Viewer" which also runs about $100 used, but is the best around. There are a few versions; you want the Realist "red button" viewer. This should get you started: http://home.att.net/~drt-3d/toys/realist/index.htm Alternatively, if you already have a 35mm SLR or a digital SLR, you can buy a special lens for your camera that takes stereo photos, print out the images onto a 4x6" print and then use a print viewer to see the image in 3D. I have one on order for myself. Here's the link for the different models: http://www.3dstereo.com/viewmaster/sca-lic.html Here's a list of 3-D cameras, some good, some not so good: http://www.stereoscopy.com/cameras/index.html A place to buy stuff: http://www.stereoscopy.com/3d-concepts/ And an alternative store to buy stuff: http://www.3dstereo.com/ Welcome to the wonderful world of stereo photography!! EDIT: Ugh! The viewmaster cameras mentioned in someone else's link is not the way to start. I can tell he's never shot a stereo image.
- The Cheapest & good output would be using 2 cheap digital or Still cameras. Put it side by side by 2inch and click. The output would be Left, Right pictures. Even 2 Webcam can be used to take SNAPs on PC.
