Is there an S-video cable to put my computer screen to play on a tv?

My tv does not have an S-video input jack. It only has a coax input for cable, camera, anntena, vcr, dvd player. Are there chords that plug in the S-video out on my media center pc, that has at the other end a coax connector for my tv? (One store tried to tell me I need an LCD or Plasma tv to do this. I don't believe it.I think they just want me to fork over $thousands. I think LCD tv screens are nothing more than giant LCD watch faces made really big, that's all. Furthermore, lcd is with the face of a watch you can get for $1 at a dollar store. I think. Also, I've looked at HD-TV, LCD, and plasma, and I can not tell any much difference in picture quality. And, you have to be directly in front of the tv screen to see anything. Regular TV's you can be almost at a 90 degree angler to the side of it, and you still can see the picture. I also think HD audio is a farce, a gimmick, a joke, so we spend more money on audio equipment. Gimme a good stereo, cd player, audio cassette deck. I happy
