when I try to run 3d games,my screen flickers for less than a second and nothing is displayed?

when I try to run 3d games,my screen just flickers and my Ram and DirectX fullfils the requirement. can someone help me plz?

1. Does your video card?
2. It probably means your video card isn't good enough to handle graphics. They can be pretty expensive too.
