Can someone recommend me a good software for 3D modeling, creation etc.?

I need a software that can be used to create 3D animations which I can put into games, or make into pictures etc. I want a free download like blender (but not blender). Could you tell me the download page and tutorial page (for that animator) if it is not too much to ask. Thank you.

1. go talk to Valve and steam.. talk to the bloggers on the steam tech sites.. there's TONS of freebie stuff they'll share with you.
