How can I finish my 3D model of a blizzard with household items?
Read my first question if you're interested, but I have to make a 3D model of a city or something for tomorrow. We're supposed to film it and have it snow in the video, or something like that. I've got a few little things that looks like houses, but that's about it. It's only like a foot long on each side, so it's really tiny. The thing is, it's late and I don't have time to run somewhere to buy stuff for it. What can I do to make it look halfway decent using just stuff I can find around the house?

- It's probably too late now, but you might have some laundry powder you could let fall over the scene, or some kind of white powder like flour or powdered sugar (or maybe even regular sugar or salt). Especially if you use a powder, put it on a screen, or in a wire-screen basket , then as continuously as possible shake it back and forth or tap on it to make the snow fall out the bottom (or use a hand-cranked sifter). For a blizzard, you might want to have someone blow on the "snow" as it's falling, or do the snowing in front of a fan set on low. HTH, Diane B.
