Whats a better payed job? Website flash designer, or 3d max designer?

I need to make a choice whether to go into web designing with flash, or follow my heart and go for 3d modelling. But i have no idea what jobs are like in the uk for either? anyone with any experiences in this matter?

1. Pursue a career as a Flash webdesigner and you can use 3d max as a Tool for your web design...Learn both programs
2. Don't limit yourself to one. Since both are helpful with a career in multimedia, I'd say learn them both.
3. I'm the Creative Director for a multimedia firm (documedia.ca) and we use both in our projects. I can tell you right away that the 3D Max Designer makes much much more per hour than the Flash designer! But. You should also consider the following. There are much much more jobs for Flash designers and the opportunities to grow to much more paying jobs are more numerous as a Flash designer than a 3D guy. I was a Flash designer originally and now make the big bucks as Creatve Director. It would have been much harder to reach this place had I gone into 3D design... Another thing to consider is that not all jobs for 3D guys are steady jobs... Only firms that specifically specialize in 3D will have full time jobs for these guys... This means you can end up working just once in a while and not be sure when the next gig will show up. But each gig will pay a ton of money! I just wanted to show both sides of the medal. They are both great jobs though! Lots of fun in both. I tend to think the Flash designer job has more future and more possibilities though. Good luck in your decision Dan.
