In order to model in 3D, do I need to know how to draw?

I don't know how to draw, but I am very interested in 3D modeling and animation. But, in order to make 3D models in a program like Maya, Max or A:M, do I need to know how to draw?

1. No, as long as you have good visual skills in a 3D environment and the technical ability to manipulate 3D software such as Maya then you should be OK, but please note that it takes a lot of practice!
