- Well, first of all, I would go to the Blender forums and ask this question, but to get to your questions... What kind of models are they? Are they Blender models? If that's the case, then what you need is to called "Append", not import. Oddly enough, it's almost exactly the same procedure. Let's say you have two blend files - Monkey.blend and box.blend. You have box.blend open and you want to append (import) the monkey. Go to "File - Append or Link" and a dialogue box will open, allowing you to choose files. Go to the directory that has monkey.blend (btw, the file that looks like two periods "..:" actually means to go up a directory. When you get to monkey.blend, double click to open it and it should open up just as if it were a folder/directory. You'll see a "directory" called "objects". Double click on "Objects" and you should see an object that is the model you want to import. Left click on that and then click on the "Load Library" button. Now, if it's a complex model with a linked armature and so on, then what you do is open the monkey.blend, select all of the objects (except the lights and cameras) and hit "Ctrl-G" to group them, making them one thing, and save and quit. Go back to your box.blend file, repeat the procedure and instead of going to "objects", go to "groups" and select the group you just created. Once it's appended (imported) you can ungroup it by using "ctrl-g". Now, if it's a 3DS model or something besides a blender model, go to "File - Import" and do the same thing. As for the ramp shaders, here is an EXCELLENT video tutorial... http://www.ibiblio.org/bvidtute/contrib/ramp.avi Careful, it's 26 MB!
