Which are the best programms for 3d modeling and rendering for architectural visualisation?

Apart from the industry standard programs (archicad, 3ds max, autodesk architectural desktop, etc). Preferably open software like Blender.. Are there any other similar programs?

1. rhino is awesome, 4d cinema, maya, vectorworks.. un studio use maya rhino and 4d together, and ben van berkel said: which is v true: the power of these programs comes when you use them together, not seperatly, learn to import/export as much as possible
