Looking for a free 3D modeling software that can be used to make video games.?

I have used auto desk 3ds max in school and liked it very much but I know that I cant afford it that easy. So I am looking for a free 3d modeling software that I can use to make video games. I am having trouble finding 3d modeling software that I can easily work with, and can create decent 3d objects. I have used blender, and it can be powerful sometimes, but didn't like it because I had difficulties trying to work with. It would be nice if someone could provide a list of 3d modelers that are free or at least under a $150 that can be used for creating 3D models for games.

2. google gmax. It is completely free. If that doesnt suit your needs, earn some money, or learn how to use a keygen. EDIT- gmax is 3ds max, but just a little bit smaller (and uglier ui). I think it was designed for Halo CE though. It should work though.
